Monday's Memory---Amy turns 6

I love this picture for so many reasons, besides it being Amy's birthday.  Notice the table.  This was when it was popular to antique everything, so I antiqued the table and chairs avocado green.  Don't judge, it went well with the green and blue shag carpet!
Move over to the microwave...it was huge, and there was no where to put it but on the table, so we could barely sit down to eat together.
Next, we have the bottom of the bird cage.  We always had a yellow canary, Pete.  We actually had a few Petes, and then moved on to RePete, with one Gorby thrown in. (He had a red mark on head, like Mikhail Gorbachev, hence the name.)
And last, we have the window and door.  This was before adding the dining room, so the house ended at the end of the kitchen.  You had to go out the door to get to the garage.
Oh, the memories...those were some fun, fun times.
