Disneyland

I splurged and bought a Disneyland pass this year...the cheap one...where you can't go on weekend...and summers...but who wants to go then because it's too hot and crowded!  Anyway, I went today, but just for the parade and fireworks!  That's the nice thing about a pass.  You don't need to spend an entire day to feel like you are getting your money's worth!

Happy Birthday Mom

Mom would have been 103 today, and she's been gone almost five years.  That is almost imposable to believe!  Amy and Todd couldn't come down on Sunday, so they showed up Monday evening to reminisce and wish mom a happy birthday.  Notice the added treat this year of Cadbury Eggs?!  Some stretching was also accomplished!!  Afterwards, we had a dinner of all of mom's favorites, pizza, milk, and banana cream pie.  Happy Birthday, mom.  You are missed every day!

Landscape Refresh

Every year I have Chris from The Plant Nerd to come back and refresh my landscaping.  It always looks new when he finishes.  This year, the side yard had gotten too big so he pulled it all out and started over again.  It all looks so great, ready for the summer!!

Meet Henry

This is Henry.  We met while walking a couple of years ago.  A couple of times a week our timing works and we pass each other on Garden Grove Blvd.  We stop for a second, say hi, usually exchange a hug, ask how each other is doing, and then we are off.  But as I walk away, I have a smile on my face and my step seems to be quicker.  Greeting him makes me happy.

Is it spring?!

Our weather has been so crazy this year...in the low 60's on day...and three days later, it's in the high 80's.  Our plants don't know what to think!  So, I have lots of flowers in bloom already, and my yard looks beautiful.

Tokyo Marathon

Kathy and her sister, Sherry, ran the Tokyo marathon today.  Every time she does this, I am amazed.  She trains for months just for this one day.  And she says she loves it, which I find really hard to believe.  This year, she had a great cheering section, her sis-in-law, Cami, her neighbors, the Williams, and of course Todd.  After the race, they made their way to Disneyland, Tokyo version, where they spent a couple of days.
