Volleyball Season

 Owen has been a busy boy with his volleyball teams.  He plays for a club team, Rancho, and is also on the JV school team.  He loves playing and I love watching him play.

Avocado Tree Haircut

 As we were trying to clean out the avocado tree this year, I realized that we couldn't even reach many at the very top of the tree.  A trim was called for.  So, I found someone who understood avocado trees and also understood how special this particular tree was me.  He did a great job.  I'm not sure how many avocadoes we'll get this next year, but it had to be done.

Happy Birthday Mom

On our way home from the park, we stopped off  for a short visit.  We sang happy birthday to her and left off her flowers.  Happy heavenly birthday, mom.  102 years young.
 

Easter Breakfast

Easter breakfast, 2025.  The usual place, the usual menu, the usual attendees.

 The only change was that it happened to be mom's birthday, so we turned it into a birthday party for her, complete with angel food cake, peanuts and M&M's, and mom's favorite flower, Cali lilies.

Monday's Memory--A Note From...

I found a pad of these in my desk drawer the other day and it reminded me of teaching 5th grade.  One year, for teacher appreciation week, a parent had these made for me. One of the books I read to them every year was Bridge to Terabithia, a favorite of both mine and the kids.
