Thanksgiving

We tried a new craft project from pinterest for our table center pieces this year...fall leaf covered mason jars.  They were supposed to look like this...

But it was harder than the pin let on, and the older boys lost interest in just a few minutes.  Emma and Owen, however, enjoyed the challenge of trying to get the leaves to lie flat, and stuck with it the entire time.  We ended up with four beautiful jars that looked great on the table that night.

Dinner was wonderful, with all of the traditional foods.  It was really fun to have most of the family here.  And it was especially nice with the new remodel.  I was able to be in the kitchen and talk to the people in the front room.  How great is that!

After dinner, and everyone went home, this is how Amy and Todd prepared for "Black Friday"...
while the kids busied themselves with legos.

They've Got Talent

Amy got a "bee in her bonnet" about their ward talent show, and luckily, the entire family went along with her.  They practiced and practiced and were the hit of the show.  I was amazed how well the kids did.  Todd really busted out some moves.  And of course, Amy was wonderful...in her element...on stage...performing.  The song???  I bet you can guess!

Even after listening to the song many times, I'm still not sure what the fox says!!!
