Beach Cookout

Annual family beach cookout. The boys brought some friends which made it more fun. You certainly could tell who the two new return missionaries were!  An obvious lack of tan!!  Lots of body boarding, spike ball, and volleyball. Yummy food and a beautiful sunset made it even better! And let's not forget the flaming fireball that hit Uncle Milo!!

 Three days after Carson came home from Tacoma, Washington, Luke came home from Busan, Korea.

Channel Islands

 After Carson's return, we took a mini trip to Ventura for a long weekend. The first afternoon, we went to several beaches looking for some decent waves...no luck.

The next morning we went to Santa Cruz Island in the Channel Islands.  It had been talked about as a possible weekend trip fir quite awhile, and we finally made it happen. The ferry boat out was cold, but lots of fun.  I love being on the water. 

 It was a ton of fun. We went kayaking with Wyatt being my partner. We went in and through some different sea caves. Kayaking in the open ocean with the (what seemed like) enormous swells was a bit terrifying but so much fun.

After that we took a 5 mile hike around the rim of the island and had some beautiful views.

Carson's Home!!

 After serving the people of Tacoma, Washington for two years, he's home.  I remember when Todd came home, it was like the best day of my life.  That was just like that--So wonderful to get him home.

A Week With Todd

 Todd came for aa week to visit and work on my "honey do" list.  Because he works from home, he can work from anywhere, which allows him to visit and not take vacation time. He has turned into a Dodger fan. They were on a road trip, so we did the next best thing and

went to an Angel game.  So much fun, but maybe he best part was the Dodger dogs and peanuts!

We went to Knott's and had a chicken dinner, and we met Amy's family in the middle and had dinner at Bob's Big Boy.

On Saturday we again met Amy's family and went to the beach.  Hula pie is delicious, but I think it loses something in the takeout!!

On Sunday, Todd bar-b-qued stakes, and like that, the week was over!!

Oh, my list?  He put new rollers o the back screen door so it would open all the way and not stick--He fixed the door into the garage so it closes smoothly--He fixed a broken light switch in his room--and he installed a new wifi sprinkler timer.  He's quite a handy guy to have around!!  Thank you for coming to visit and thank you for all the stuff that got fixed around the house.  I love you bunches.
