Happy Birthday, Luke

I was able to catch Luke before he left for school for his birthday song and wish.  I know I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again...I wish we lived closer.  It would have been so nice to be able to give him a real hug, instead of one over facetime!  Happy birthday Lukie!

Monday's Memory--Wyatt vs. the Banister

July, 2009

In the summer of 2009, we had our vacation at a beach house in Newport Beach.  It was lots of fun being all together in the same house for a week.  But one of my clearest memories is Wyatt's head getting caught in the landing of the stairs.  Judging by the look on his face, he wasn't clowning around, but was really caught.

This July, we spent a week in Lake Tahoe, in a nice big house this time.  Again, it was really fun all being together in one house.  As soon as I saw the stairs, Wyatt came to mind.  I love the fact that he will go along with my crazy ideas.  I just love that kid!

A Teenager!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!  Tayson is a teenager!!!  I facetimed him, and we actually had a real conversation!  He thinks girls are cute!  He actually owns a blow dryer! And he is turning into a wonderful young man.  Happy birthday, sweetheart.  I sure love you.

Little Boy's Big Day

Today was Owen's first day of kindergarten.   I can't believe that all 8 of my grandkids are now is school, and that I have been there for all of them.  Owen was really excited to start this new adventure, and maybe just a little bit nervous.  Because he's in afternoon kindergarten, I took him to school and Amy joined us during her lunch break.  Todd wasn't able to be there because it was in the middle of the day, but he wanted to be involved, so he picked him up after school.  The teacher had us stay for a little while, doing some projects together and when it was time for me to leave, he simply smiled and said he'd see me after school.  What a kid!!!
