End of Summer Tradition

 

Yep, where else but the beach!!  Amy starts school on Tuesday and Owen starts the week after that.  Where did the summer go?!

Celebrate!!

 I have been on a weight loss journey since the middle of March when I started taking a Zepbound shot!

My starting weight was 225 and today was a milestone.  For the first time in almost four years, I am under 200 pounds!!  So I celebrated with a Starbuck's strawberry and cream Frappuccino.  It was just as good as I remembered!!

Goodbyes

 Poor Emma!  Her goodbyes stretched over months, not just a few days.  She had to say goodbye to Wyatt when she left for school last September because he was already a missionary, just finishing up his home MTC.  Carson said goodbye when he flew back to Provo from Cabo.  Owen was just a few days early because he was going to FSY.  

 So that left Todd, Amy, and me at the airport!  And the funny thing was that Amy and Todd were flying to Canada for Paula's memorial...on Emma's same flight with a change of planes to continue on.  So, We faked the traditional goodbye and trip up the escalator, but then I drove home as Todd and Amy followed her up.

A Freezer Full of Berries!

 It's the end of of boysenberries and I got a bumper crop.  I'm ready for cobbler, dump cake and jam.

Happy Birthday to Me

 I felt like Amy celebrating my birthday this year.  She always manages to stretch hers over several days.  Well, this year, Lori and Kevin Stricklin took me out to dinner the day before.  We went to BJ's, so of course, a birthday pazookie was involved!  I wanted to go to a reimagined Souplantion, so Amy and Emma took me there for my birthday dinner.  Todd and Owen were still at nationals for volleyball.  After dinner, we went back to their house for presents and cake.  I felt very loved today.  It makes getting another r\year older more palatable!

4th of July Bike Ride

 Emma did't have any meetings during the day, so we went on a bike ride from HB to Balboa.  There were lots of people out celebrating and it was really fun.  It was also fun, because there were several people say, "Hello Sister" as we rode by.  Her missionary name tag is pretty obvious.  By the time we  got a balboa bar and took the ferry across to the island, my knee was done.  I walked a short distance to a cafe and waited for Amy and Emma to ride back to Huntington, get in the truck, and come pick me up.
