Happy Birthday Luke

 He's 18!!  Ready for the Melchizedek priesthood, the temple, and his mission.  Happy birthday, sweetheart.

Utah Trip and a Hug from Tayson

 Because the Johnson's were going to Hawaii almost as soon as Tayson got off the plane, I decided it would be better to wait until they returned home for my trip up for a hug.  And I got several...like almost every time he walk by, I'd grab on from him.  It's so good to have him home.  The rest of the time there was just nice, uneventful family time.

I went to the Provo City Center Temple on Saturday while I was waiting for them to get home.  After the session, I went outside to take a quick photo and discovered it was raining...and a little later, a rainbow!!

Sunday was his homecoming talk.  He did amazing, I was so proud of him.

I walked along the Provo River every day...so pretty.

And one day Todd and I snuck into the rec center to get a picture of Luke life guarding.  That had been his summer job this year!

Monday's Memory--Mission Stickers

When Todd went on his mission, almost 30 years ago, I decided to count down his time monthly.  I created a poster and put a sticker on it every month.

I love this picture of him and Amy the day he returned home.  Unfortunately, I can't find his poster!!  I looked through his keepsake box up in Utah and my box at home.  Darn!!!

But, here is Tayson with his poster.  As you can see, I've gotten a little fancier over the years!

EHS Back-to-School Night

 Todd was out of town, so Amy asked to to help her at the high school.  It was so fun.  As we entered the campus, all the ASB, SA, and cheer kids were there, lining the way and cheering us on.

Emma didn't get to cheer us on because she had to be with the choir, who started the evening with the Star Spangles Banner.  A' Capella.  It was beautiful.

I then followed Emma's schedule...she gave me a map with all of her classes highlighted and even arrows showing how to enter the building!  But, I did have to figure out which way was up!!

Happy Birthday Tayson

 

Tayson was home for his birthday, but they left early afternoon to fly to Hawaii, so I think this is all the celebration he got!!  Plus a facetime call from me!!!

Welcome Home Tayson

He's home!!  Tayson is home!!!  He spent two years serving the people of Phoenix
, Arizona on a mission for the church, and now he's home.

OC Fair

 I hadn't been to the fair for many years, so I decided to go.  I enjoyed the exhibits, especially the table settings and the decorated cakes.  The pig races were fun.  And the funnel cake was delicious...and expensive...$17.00 expensive!!

Goodbye Carson

 Carson's flight to SLC was really early...like 5:45, so the entire family was at the airport at 4 to say goodbye and wish him well.  It's going to be a long two years!!
