High School, Here He Comes!

And just like that, Carson is off to high school.  I don't know who is more nervous, Carson or his mom!

The best part of the morning was as they were walking in.   We all yelled really loud "CARSON!!".  We could tell he heard us by his shoulders drooping and his head hanging low.  It's so much fun to embarrass him!  All kidding aside, I'm so proud of this young man.  He truly is a wonderful person.  Congrats buddy.

Dance Weekend

Because I flew up for Tayson's Eagle Court of Honor, I had to miss the girls' dance weekend.  Kathy took some video and pictures, so I felt like I was almost there.  The theme of the show this year was the 50 states.  Claire was Pennsylvania (baseball) and Connecticut (a school girl)

and Sophie was Tennessee (Blue Suede Shoes) and Arizona (a snake).

 I'm so sorry to have missed this great weekend and am looking forward to next year.

Monday's Memory--Todd's Eagle

Watching Tayson receive his Eagle made me remember back to when Todd got his eagle.  He we really young, only 13, because we thought his scout master had to present the award, and he wanted Allen King to do it.  When he turned 14, he would advance into a different troop.  Later, we found out that anyone can present the award!  It was a lot of work, but Todd never complained.  I'm so grateful to wonder scout leaders who helped him become the man he is today.

Once again, Todd had to share his birthday with Mother's Day.  So the kids took over and fixed breakfast for both.  (Looks like they forgot how to spell his name!!)

That evening, they had his favorite, cherry cheesecake, and presents.  Happy birthday, Todd  Sorry I was in Utah and missed the whole thing!

Newest Eagle Scout

I couldn't be more proud of this kid...the first of my grandkids to achieve the rank of Eagle!  Tayson is such a good example to his brother and sisters and also his cousins.  It was so fun to fly up and help him celebrate this great achievement.

Happy Birthday Todd

Happy birthday to my son.  I was flying up in the afternoon, but I still facetimed him in the morning to sing Happy Birthday.  Then, later that day, we had birthday pancakes for dinner and got to sing to him in person.  I love you, sweetheart.

Happy Birthday Claire Bear

Claire turned 12 today, which means she graduates from Primary and into Young Women's.  She is so excited to join the "big girls" and everything that means.  Kathy was on a business trip, so Todd had to plan her party...a bunch of friends over for water games out in the back yard.  Success!
