WE celebrated all three birthdays on Sunday evening with presents and cake, but they enjoyed their pancakes on their actual birthday. Do they look tired?! That's because pancakes were at 6:15, before they left for seminary!! Happy birthday you two. Seventeen!!
As I was leaving my Stake play rehearsal, I got a facetime call from Amy. "Some right away...it's snowing!!" Oh my gosh...real snow at Amy's house. I ran home, packed up some stuff, and headed off. She called a little later and said she was worried about me driving into the neighborhood. Many people had reported slick roads and lots of slipping and sliding. so, I parked at the McDonalds and Wyatt came and got me in the truck with four wheel drive. This was out way into the neighborhood.
I mean, they have had snow before...like a flake or two, always melting as soon as it hit the ground. This was real snow...like four inches. I know, this is nothing like we had in Utah this last week, but this is Rialto!! So much fun.
So, we did all the things you do in a surprise snow storm...snow angels, a snow family complete with a pet dog, and sledding.
It was so beautiful, it deserved it's own post!!
Because Wyatt is in ASB, he got to participate in the powderpuff game as a cheerleader. It was so much fun to watch him lead cheers and just have a blast. It was also bitter sweet because just a year ago I watched Carson leading the same cheers and having just as much fun.
