Monday's Memory--baby Todd

Our Relief Society wanted a picture of us with our baby for our party later this month. I had to go searching, but was able to find this one. Todd must be about a month old here. I remember my purple outfit. It was actually a one piece pants and top with big, flowing pants and a gold chain belt. Very comfy to wear.

Thanksgiving

We never think to get pictures of thanksgiving, so this year I vowed that we would document the day. We had a pretty full house with Milo and Gale coming from Sacramento and the usual locals; Amy, Todd, and kids, Mark and Kris, Matt and Lauren, Aunt Agnes, mom and me.

Amy came up with a really cute idea for name tags, so we spent part of the afternoon searching through alphabet macaroni to find everyone's names. They turned out great. It was great spending time with family, visiting and catching up.

And dinner was delicious, so it was a big success. I think we'll do it again next year!

Utah visit

I was able to spend this past weekend in Utah visiting Todd, Kathy, and the kids. And for the second year in a row, I woke up to this beautiful scene. It actually stared snowing late Friday night, so we could watch it come down. It was finished snowing the next morning, but it left behind some fun stuff to play in.

The kids were in their snow gear and out playing before breakfast. Sophie and Tayson didn't last too long because of the cold, but Claire and Luke stayed out and tried their luck with a snowman. They weren't too successful because the snow was very dry and wouldn't hold together. The best part of playing in the snow, however, must be the hot chocolate waiting when it's time to come in. YUMMY!

That Sunday happened to be the Primary program in Sacrament meeting. It was so fun to be there to watch and listen to their speaking parts and songs. I couldn't have been prouder. An added bonus was that it was also Kathy's turn to teach the RS lesson. She did an amazing job. I love my time with these guys...I wish they weren't so far away so it could be more often.

As you can tell from this picture, Tayson was having an "attitude" and didn't want to cooperate for my picture. You'd think he was already a teenager instead of only 9.

Apple Pie

Todd has become quite the cook--at least when it come to baking apple pies. He, along with some help from"sous chef" Kathy spent the afternoon in the kitchen.

YUMMY!!!

I just received this letter in the mail from Tayson. What a wonderful surprise. I love you, too. XOXOXO right back at you.
