A Little R and R

I needed a break from life, so I decided a quick trip to Hawaii was in order.  I only planned this  a week in advance, but the minute I had everything arranged, I could feel my shoulders relax and my breathing ease.  Oh, I guess I needed this trip.  And I picked the perfect hotel, the Kauai Beach Resort.  The view from my room lifted the soul, and the sandy beach was just what the doctor ordered!

Tuesday morning started beautifully.  It wan't the best I've ever seen because of the dark clouds, but it was well worth the time.

The rest of the day was spent walking along the beach...

...and reading (and eating) by the pool.

One last sunrise...

...a couple of pictures around the pool and beach...

...and it was back to the airport for my flight home!  Short and very sweet!!
