Monday's Memory--Huck Finn Days
I love the 4th of July and have found many different ways to celebrate it. One of the most unique was in 2002. I found out that the kids wouldn't be here for my birthday, so Ann to the rescue...let's go on an "adventure"! We flew to St Louis, rented a convertible (white, not red), and we were off. The highlight of the trip had to be on the 4th. We spent the day in Hannibal for Huck Finn Days. There were lots of fun activities including a fence painting contest. That evening, we had dinner on a riverboat on the Mississippi River and enjoyed the fireworks from the deck. It was a great trip, one that always brings a smile to my face when I think of it.
