Happy Birthday Emma and Wyatt

 This was a very different birthday for these two, Emma at school and Wyatt in Mexico on his mission.

I sent them both boxes with cakes, candles, hats and streamers.  And I was able to facetime them both to sing them a happy birthday and watch them open presents.  Emma didn't get birthday pancakes, so she had birthday pizza!  And then she and her friends made cupcakes to help celebrate.

Wyatt got some basketball played, and his companion decorated his apartment and had a cake for him.  Happy birthday you two.

Happy Birthday Owen

 I think Owen is enjoying being an "only child".  I believe this is the first birthday that he did have to share it with Emma and Wyatt. A cake all to himself!!

Fake News!!

My long time friend, Allen King, texted me this copy of a journal page. For my 60th? birthday, my friend Ann, asked everyone to write something about me that they thought was fun or interesting.  This was Allen's!!

What's hilarious is that Allen didn't even move to Westminster until his junior year of high school...and he is only one year younger than me!  Thanks for the good laugh, both then and now, years later!!

Happy Galintines

 I have the sweetest friend.  Lori is known for making the most delicious biscuits.  She showed up at my door with this!  Happy Galentines!!  Thank you, Lori, for thinking of me.

Lakers vs Jazz

 Because Nuskin is a sponsor of the Utah Jazz, Kathy often gets tickets to the games.  And by tickets, I mean courtside! Todd and Tayson got to attend a Laker vs Jazz game. and their tickets were right behind the Laker bench!!  We lost, but the experience was amazing.

The fun part for me was watching from home.  Because of their gold shirts, I could see them all of the game!!  

Beanies!!

 One of my bucket list items is to crochet a sweater!  Well, I figured I had better start with something easier and smaller.  I could handle a beanie, right?!  I made all the mistakes on one for me, then I bought some pretty yarn and started in on ones for the girls.  I attempted Emma's first.  I got it up to her and several days latter I got this picture with the comment that she wore her beanie that day and got lots of fun comments of how cute it was!

That gave me the umph to continue on with my project.  When I was up for the dance weekend, I gave Sophie and Claire theirs and asked Emma to bring her's to Sunday night dinner so I could get a picture.   If I never get to the sweater, I have this as proof that I did  crocheted SOMETHING!!

Dance Weekend

 

It's amazing how much can be packed into a long weekend.  I flew up to Provo for the girl's dance show, but so much more than that happened.  I took up several cuttings form our avocado tree for Todd to try his hand in grafting he little starter trees.

Tayson had a basketball game, so I was able to go cheer him on.

Woke up to this amazing sunrise Saturday morning...

...and on Sunday, we had some snow...always a treat for this southern California girl!

This girl's dance show was wonderful.  It's always so fun to admire how much they have grown and improved.  Every time I see them dance, it makes me teary eyed.  I'm so proud of these two young ladies.

And, as a bonus, Sophie had a high school ballroom competition that I was able to attend.  She is so confident and graceful out there on the floor.  Way to go, Sophie.
