Happy Birthday Amy

We had to celebrate Amy's birthday early because she and Todd would be on her "40th birthday trip" to Costa Rica!  Todd surprised her with decorations, a pin, crown, and sash, all reminding her she was 40!!!  And yes, 40 does look good on her!

Monday's Memory--Nerf Pool

When the kids were little, I found this nerf pool game.  You attached a net around the sides of a card table, added the pockets, and away you went.  I remember the kids having a fun time with it.  Then it got put away for years.  The other day, while I was cleaning our the garage, I stumbled upon it and thought the grandkids might enjoy a game of pool.

I'll admit it, they weren't all that thrilled!  I guess it was pretty lame when you have actually played pool on a real table!  But, they humored me with a game or two before we put it in the goodwill pile.

Beach Day

We had just enough time for a quick trip to the beach before Todd's family had to head home and Amy's kids had to get back to school.  Not the warmest of days, but that didn't stop them from playing in the water

Birthday Bash Weekend

At Christmas, Kathy mentioned that we really should have a big party for mom's 95th.  So, after lots of planning and coordinating, everyone came and we had a party.
Saturday morning, we all met early at the park for some family pictures.  A friend and photographer came and took lots of pictures.  And they turned out great!

 Then we had our Easter breakfast.  Lots of people and lots of food and fun.

Saturday evening was the actual party.  It was catered by Naple's Ribs and was delicious.  

The theme was My Favorite Things. 

Amy came up with two perfect shirts for grandma.  Only, this shirt should say "mostly original parts"...

  ...and every time she wears this one and says "bless your heart", I say, "just read the shirt!"

Temple Baptisms

We spent the morning at the Redlands Temple doing baptisms for the dead.  It was Emma and Wyatt's first time and they were really excited about going inside.  I love that I was included for this special occasion.

Palm Springs

Our annual spring break tradition...a couple of days in Palm Springs, soaking up the sun and playing in the pool.

On our way home, we decided to check out the dinosaur museum.  We had seen the big dinosaur off the side of the road for years, but had never stopped. Today we did!
