Christmas Train FHE

Schedules were so crazy this year, our Christmas train FHE had to be on a Wednesday!  After a quick dinner, we spent the evening setting up the train.

It was really funny to see Todd looking online to see how to set up the tressels.
He must have done it right, because it worked!

Monday's Memory--Candlelight Processional

Last year, when I was a Disneyland, I noticed that the front of the railroad station was all decked out.  I asked a worker what they were getting ready for and she said," the candlelight processional."

Instant flashback to college, when I sang in the Golden West College choir, and we performed in that very processional.  I was surprised to hear that they were still doing it.  During the year, I checked around to see how you could perform it, and found out that only choirs were accepted, except Disneyland employees!
So, the next best thing to being in it was to watch it.
I have been toying with the idea of getting another annual pass, and this tipped the scales.

I did it, and now I can enjoy Disneyland for the entire year.

So, on Saturday, I stood in line for two hours, but had front row seats for the processional and program.  It was amazing...hundreds of singers, a full orchestra, heralding trumpets, a bell choir, and Gena Davis as the narrator.  She read the Christmas story from the book of Luke, as the choir sounded like the angels, foretelling of Christ's birth.  A very moving program.  And as a bonus, they performed the Hallelujah Chorus, which I turned it into a sing-a-long.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was pretty quiet this year, just mom and me, along with Amy, Todd, and the kids.

Christmas at Legoland

For our last day at Legoland, we decided to wait until it was all decked out for Christmas.  We went of a few rides...

...but most of our time was spent playing in the snow...

...and having snowball fights.

Emma kept sneaking up and putting snow down everyone's shirts,
but in the end, she got it good!

Merry Christmas

Utah in November

I hadn't been up to Utah for many months, so I wanted to go for a quick trip.  And by quick, I mean really fast.  I arrived with Todd on Thursday night, and came back with Todd, on Sunday morning. But, the time I was there was fun and action packed.
Claire and I spent some time in the kitchen, making bread and strawberry jam.

I had a really important rehearsal for stake choir on Sunday evening, so I needed to get back.  But, because of that, I was going to miss the kids sacrament meeting program.  Well, Saturday was a practice for them, so Todd and I went to watch...almost like being at the real thing!  Luke had a big part on the program.

The rest of the day, and well into the night, Todd and I worked on his fish tank.    Rocks were installed, sand was put in place, and water was added.  Best of all, NO LEAKS!
