Garden Update

 I an now reaping what I sowed!!  I've canned beans and eaten delicious corn and potatoes.  Not to mention tomatoes and boysenberries.

Mom's One Year Anniversary

 I can't believe mom's been gone for an entire year.  Not too long ago, someone asked me about mom and how long she's been gone.  I said, "Oh, a few months now, maybe six."  My goodness, how did that happen?  And I will say, I think about her almost every day...something she said...or did...I miss you mom.

Family Beach Cookout

 

Thinking that it might be the last time for the family to be together before Carson left for his mission, we had a family beach cookout.  The waves were huge but the kids had fun building in the sand.

Carson's Temple Endowment

I was so afraid that I was going to miss Carson's endowment because of COVID.  What a relief when the doctor said I could go, I just needed to wear a mask.

It was such a special experience being in the temple with him.  He seemed a little nervous, but afterwards, he was just really excited.  One more step closer to leaving on his mission.

Happy Birthday Sophie

Kathy took Sophie and Claire to New York for Sophie's birthday.  Evidently the Michael Jackson show was a real draw for her. so, I got to facetime her while she was walking around Time Square!!  That's a first.  Her whirlwind trip was a big success and she is now a Michael Jackson fan for life.  Happy birthday Sophie Bug.

COVID!!!

 I woke up Sunday morning with a sore throat.  I figured I just screamed too much at Wyatt's game and went to church.  That evening, I started feeling kinda sick...fever, chills, a barky cough.  All the symptoms of COVID I had in January of 2021.  I tested and it said negative, so I figured just a cold.  Monday was no better, same symptoms and now no energy.  Tested again...negative!  happy 4th of July to me...I watched fireworks out by back window while laying on the couch.

Tuesday...happy birthday to me...still feeling crummy but the fever and chills were gone.  More about my birthday in a different post!

Thursday, I tested again and...positive

The good news was that I only needed to quarantine for 5 days and I had almost completed that.  Then I could go out with a mask on for another 5 days.  Much easier than last time.

Happy Birthday to Me

 Because I was sick, my birthday was low key.  Amy and Wyatt stopped by on their way to the beach with lunch, presents, and a cake.  I felt very loved.
