Todd's Surprise Visit

I was chatting on the phone with Todd about birthday ideas, when he asked how grandma was doing.  I told him her walking was getting more difficult and I wasn't sure what was going to happen.  He called back an hour later, asking if I could pick him up from the airport the next day!!  He was concerned about grandma and wanted to get down here for a visit while she was still at home.

What a wonderful visit.  We spent some time getting my garden ready for the year.  For Mother's Day, he brought potato starts, onion starts, new sprinklers, and a soil testing kit from Utah.

Not only did we get all of that planted, but we amended the soil and planted corn, beets, tomatoes, strawberries, and beans.

COVID 19--Quarantine Update

I think this will be my last quarantine update!  The world is almost back to normal.  Lot's of people have been vaccinated, so things are opening up.  We don't need to wear masks outside...people are traveling and visiting family...schools are back in person, with some modifications.

My last COVID puzzle was a fun one!

First roses of the year in the vase Mel bought for
mom from Ireland.

Finally got to see Carson at work!

A Visitor

The rest of the family experienced trek, but Owen was too young, so he came to stay with me for the weekend. We had pizza, went to the park, played games, watched a couple of fun movies, and had lots of snuggle time.  Oh, how I love this little guy.

Vaccines!!

Oh Yay!!  I got my first vacinne last week, and mom got her's today.  I received the Pfizer, so I have an appointment go go back and get the second dose in two weeks.  Mom got the Johnson and Johnson, so it's a one and done.  It's a good feeling to be so close to immunity.
