Christmas Trains

One of my favorite activities in December is having Todd, Amy, and the kids come over for dinner and set up the train.  This year, after a dinner of meatloaf and baked potatoes, the kids had a great time setting up the track and running the train around the house.

Book Group Christmas Party

I love these ladies.  We have been in the same book group for over 30 years and most of these ladies have been my friend for longer than that.  Every year we celebrate Christmas with a dinner and the sharing of gifts.

Monday's Memory--Icicle Bag

For as long as I can remember, this is the Christmas tree icicle bag.  It's an old Hickory Farm bag from many years ago.  Every year, the last step in decorating the tree was to get this bag out and carefully place the icicles on the tree.  Well, this year, as I decorated the tree, the bag seemed to fall apart right in my hand.  I guess it's time to find a new bag.

Sophie's 8 Year Old Trip

When each of Todd and Kathy's kids turned 8, they took them on a special trip.  Tayson went to Washington DC, Luke chose Florida, Chaire's choice was New York City, and Sophie decided to come to San Diego.  I was so excited because that meant a trip up to Disneyland and I got to be included.  They took the train up the coast and I picked them up in Anaheim.  The day included rides, snacks, rides, princesses, rides, and snacks.  After the parade, fireworks, and a very long day, back to the train station they went and then I drove home for a much earned sleep.
