Sledding

We all went up American Fork Canyon to the Tibble Fork Reservoir to go sledding.
It was absolutely beautiful.

Most used a sled...

 ...some used their bottoms...

...some walked...

 ...and Tayson even used Luke!!!

The girls really threw up a lot of snow on their way down

Forts were built...

along with a jump.

I didn't get into the sledding. I'm afraid I'm not very adventurous, and I've gotten to be a big chicken as I've gotten older.  But, I did enjoy all of the snow.  I saw a patch of snow with no footprints in it.  I thought back to all of the pictures of my footprints in the sand at the beach, and decided I'd try it in snow instead.  It was going great, until it I got stuck!!!  I mean, as I took a step, I sank down above my knees and I couldn't get up or out.  Todd was right there, laughing, as he took a movie of me struggling to get out.  I felt like a beached whale!  Luke came over to help me, to no avail. Finally, Todd put down the camera, and came to my rescue!  It was pretty funny, but I have a picture of my footprints!!!

The other thing that I loved was making a snow angel.

After several hours of play, we headed back up to the cars where Amy had hot chocolate waiting. YUM.

Notice, Todd started out dressed for the snow, but ended up dressed for the beach!

Provo City Temple Open House

I went up to Provo this past weekend along with Amy, Todd, and kids. the main reason was to attend this open house.  It was very cold and very crowded.  The gathering place was underground in the parking garage, and boy, there were tons of people all waiting to see the temple.
The wait was worth it...it was beautiful...lots of wood and amazing stained glass windows.  When the old Provo Tabernacle burned down a few years ago, the church decided to save the outside brick walls and create this beautiful temple inside.  At one point, standing on the bottom floor, you can look up and see a spiraling staircase going up three flights...amazing.  I can hardly wait for it to be dedicated, so I can go through a session.

It was wonderful having all of my family there, inside the temple together.  After the tour, we took pictures outside.  These are my favorites.  I love the way these guys have fun together...and Tayson photo bombing.

I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE...

Monday's Memory--Crazy Socks

At Wyatt's basketball game last weekend, I noticed his socks. Instant flashback to more than 20 years ago when Todd would wear crazy socks to all of his volleyball games.  He actually got all of his teammates to join in the crazy attire.  And it was the start of years of him wearing unusual socks.  Even this last time we went to church together, he was sporting Star Wars socks.

I love this guy...and I love Wyatt for being such a fun individualist.

Tea Party

Mom and I went to Amy and Todd's today for the kid's basketball games. There was a couple of hours in between Carson's and Emma and Wyatt's, so we went home.  After some lunch, Owen helped me make some peanut butter cookies.  As always, his favorite part was licking the beaters. And Emma decide to have a "tea" party, with warm cookies as the main course.  YUM!

Emma, the Baker

Emma loves to work in the kitchen, so today, after school, we decided french bread would be great with dinner.
kneading the dough
her favorite part, punching it down
